- Screencast-O-Matic allows my students and I to communicate more effectively via video screencasting. I like the ease of creating videos, using the writing tools, editing, publishing the mp4’s and the price is right. Nellie Muller Deutsch (Ed.D) Education Technology and Leadership Consultant.
- May 19, 2020 At a minimum, you’ll need software to record your on-screen actions and accompanying narration, then export and share that video with others. If you use a Mac, you’ll find that you can create decent screen recordings using the free QuickTime Player application.
- Mac Screen Recorder Studio is a piece of professional while cheap Mac ScreenCasting Software. It consists of a built-in unique screen recorder and a fully featured video editor. It provides an easy way to make exciting video tutorials, sales presentations, training videos, etc. And it needn't any professional knowledge to use.
- Screencast-O-Matic for Mac is the best screen capture software that is available for both online and installed on a Mac. Having the free version online version makes it much easier to figure out how to record your screen and make a tutorial out of it without having to spend your hard earned money first.
Mar 04, 2019 So my bottom line is the Mac’s built-in tools are likely too flakey for general use. Snagit is decent if you only need basic capturing, but ScreenFlow or Camtasia is a worthy investment for those involved in regular screencasting. ScreenFlow is ideal for Mac-only environments, ease of use, and super high-quality videos.

This page provides a comparison of notable screencastingsoftware, used to record activities on the computer screen. This software is commonly used for desktop recording, gameplay recording and video editing. Screencasting software is typically limited to streaming and recording desktop activity alone, in contrast with a software vision mixer, which has the capacity to mix and switch the output between various input streams.
